Lots of Firsts…But Some Pretty Cards Too!

27 Feb

I’ve been on a card making roll recently…It’s been a while since I’ve added to my stash, so it feels pretty good!

I decided that this time I needed bright and fun…

and I love how they turned out!

I used my Spellbinders Blossom Tags and Accents die to create the flowers…

It was my first time using it and I am now officially hooked! I see lots of flowered cards in people’s futures!

And the green glittered paper and various rhinestones seem to give them just the right amount of bling…

You might have noticed that the last few times I’ve made a card, I’ve made ‘double’…

This is something new I am trying to do…and I think I like it…

It really takes no more time than to make a single card since I am following the same process, just ending up with double the pretty!

And this go round, I also challenged myself to do something right away with the left over scraps…

Since my scrap pile is starting to take over my craft room…

Based on how it turned out, I might have to give myself a few more scrap challenges!

On a slightly different note…

I have a number of Card sites that I follow and love to get inspiration from…

But I don’t typically participate in Challenges because I never know when I am going to have the time and/or inspiration to actually follow through…

Plus sometimes I think their cards are so much prettier than mine…

But I am going to put myself out there and give it a try…

So with that in mind, I am entering the following Challenges:

Supplies worth noting:
Spellbinders Blossom Tags and Accents
DCVW Lemon Flower matstock
DCVW Cafe Mediterranean cardstock
Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type alpha stickers
Stampendous Personal Notes Mini Quad Cube Stamp (Happy Birthday)
Ribbon, lace, rhinestones and pearl button from my stash

Have a great day everyone!

Enjoy the Party!

BAM! WHACK! It’s a Superhero Party!

24 Feb

I mentioned in my last couple of posts that I was working on a special order for a Superhero party…

I had a blast making these for a special little girl who was turning 3…

Whew! I guess that’s plenty!

I can’t tell you how long it took me to cut out all this stuff out…worked my fingers to the bone…but it was all worth it to help make the birthday girl’s party one to remember!
