The Luck of the Irish

10 Mar

First things first…

My daughter’s cheer team did awesome yesterday! She cheers on two different teams and both of them placed FIRST yesterday! And one of the teams also won Grand Champs which means they had the highest score of every team across all ages in their skill level!

Super proud of her and all the hard work she puts into cheering! And everything else that she does for that matter!

And somehow in between the 2 hour drive each way, along with cheering her on, I was able to get a few pictures of my latest St. Patrick’s Day goodies…

An assortment of treats all dressed up and ready to party!

I used the same basic premise for both, but decided to take the cupcake idea one step further with some candy as well…

I added a scalloped circle base (cut using one of my Spellbinders dies) to hold everything together (I didn’t want the candy falling through the bottom of the liners!)

No, I didn’t have time to actually make the cupcakes too…Thank you Stop & Shop!

A pot of gold…

Filled with Rolos!

The same label I use for my Hershey Kiss treats, also fits on Rolos perfectly!

What I used to create them…

First I designed the striped paper…I cut the wrappers out from this paper using my Lifestyle Crafts Scalloped Cupcake Liner Die…

Then I created the chevron background and went on to design the toppers…I made them square because I wasn’t sure what size/shape I wanted to cut them out in…So now they can be used like I did or they could put cut into squares for labels or tags…

The Hershey Kiss labels were next…

Once I had the paper stuff printed and put together, it was time to fancify…

Ribbon, buttons, and rhinestones do the trick…

I’ve got one more fun idea for St. Patrick’s Day rolling around in my head…I hope to get it done over the next few days to share with you…

Wish me luck!
