OMG - The Life of the Party

You can right-click and save this sentiment for your personal use if you’d like…

I haven’t had time to post lately, but over the last couple of days, I’ve been getting WordPress notifications like crazy…

“Your stats are booming” and all that craziness…

Turns out another blog shared my little Winnie the Pooh sentiment and it seems people really like it!

That makes me happy 🙂

So, while I don’t have any spectacular craftiness to share today, I did want to pop in and say…

Thank You - The Life of the Party

Ditto for this little ditty!

P.S. You might also want to check out the site that mentioned my little ol’ blog, Free Digital Stamps…They always have new and cute stuff!

Enjoy the Party!

Valentine Explosion Box

14 Feb

This is going to be a picture crazy post…

But I think it’s worth it…

I’ve never made an Explosion Box before…

But a friend at work inspired me…

So I decided to make one for my husband for Valentine’s Day…

But I couldn’t show it to you before today or else he might have seen it too! 🙂

It starts out looking like a perfectly ordinary box…

or a perfectly ornate box…

Until you take the cover off…

Then BOOM!

The sides of the box “explode” open!

My Explosion Box is three layers deep…

And each one is filled with sweet nothings for the hubby…

Explosion Box 7 - The Life of the Party

The bottom layer is the largest…

It’s uses the same red paper you see on the outside of the box…

And inside the dainty vellum envelope…

The second layer is a lighter pink…

And finally, the smallest lightest pink layer…

I’m going to put a little baggie of candy in the center before I close it up…

That will probably be his favorite part!

Explosion Box 15 - The Life of the Party

EVERYTHING I used was from my stash…

And I used just about everything I could get my hands on…

Paper, stickers, pearls, rhinestones, stamps…

Glitter, brads, ribbon, and even one of my Kissing Booth Tickets!

Although I’m kinda scared realizing that I have this much stuff just hanging around!

Still, I think it came together awesome and I can’t wait to give it to my dearie…

What are you doing with your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day?

Whatever it is, I hope it’s a love filled time!

Enjoy the Party!

Frozen Birthday Fun

6 Feb

I just finished up a special order item for a special little girl’s Frozen themed birthday party, so I thought I’d share…

Here’s the banner…

click on the image to view it in all its full size glory 🙂

Frozen Birthday Banner - The Life of the Party

First I created each of the pennant designs with images from the movie (there are 8 in total)…

Here is an example of one…

Frozen Pennant 1 - The Life of the Party

I cut each pennant out and mounted them onto white glitter card stock, then trimmed them with scalloped scissors.

I created the letters separately so the pennants could be reused in different orders and to say different things…

Here is an example of the letters in case you’re interested…

I cut white glitter snowflakes to back each of the letter circles just to make them a little more interesting…

I used dimensional tape to adhere each of them…

Then onto the finishing touches…

A couple of punched & glittered silver snowflakes added to each pennant…

And a rhinestone at each point…

Because I always seem to need to include a rhinestone somewhere…

Then just needed to string them all together with some pretty white ribbon…

Frozen Birthday Banner 3 - The Life of the Party

And finally time to hang it up and bask in its beauty 🙂

What do you think?

I can’t believe how popular the Frozen them has become!

I hope the birthday girl enjoys her special day!

Oh yeah…

I made some cute cupcake toppers for her too…

Can’t forget to give you a peek at them as well!
