Sweet Independence

6 Jul

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We spent ours at our lake house with the rest of the family and had a great time celebrating our great country’s independence!

The make the occasion a little more festive, I put together a red, white and blue candy buffet for the celebration…

I was able to get all the candy locally, between Dollar Tree and my local supermarket. The goodies included, red, white, and blue salt water taffy, tootsie rolls, dubble bubble gum and Nestle Crunch bars; blue and white Jelly Bellys; red licorice, Swedish Fish and Red Hots; white Life Savers; Silver Kisses and York Peppermint Patties; and red and white peppermints. My daughter and I also spent a little quality time together dipping marshmallows in melted chocolate and decorating them with red and blue sprinkles. Wowsers! There’s a lot of sugar on that little table!

The pinwheels came from the Dollar Tree store and the small flags were found in the Dollar Spot at Target. Most of the other decorations were things that have been in my stash forever, like the tablecloth, paper star garland hanging across the window and shimmering star wire laid around the table.

I made the FREEDOM banner using my Cricut and attached it to the tablecloth using re-positional tape so that it could be removed and saved for future use.

Graduation Party Printables

19 May

I just handed off my latest delivery of First Holy Communion favors – yay! 🙂 – so now it’s back to graduation mode…and since I’ll have graduation on the brain for the next little while, with plenty of orders plus family graduating high school and elementary school, I thought it might be fun to get into the mindset by sharing a printable.

Be it preschool, kindergarten, high school, college, or what have you, a little graduation decor fun is sure to make your festivities even more fun!

So, for those of you that are planning such a get together, I’ve made things a little easier for you. 🙂 I’ve put together a set that includes a Graduate banner, mini candy bar wrappers and squares that can punched out to use as cupcake toppers, favor tags, or anything else you can think of!

You can get the printables here:

If you use them, I’d love to hear about it and it would be awesome if you shared pictures of your celebration!

Enjoy the Party!

First Communion

12 Apr

UPDATE: Unfortunately the hard drive that I kept this file on crashed and I no longer have this template…but have no fear, as I created a new set of First Communion Kiss labels that includes more styles to choose from!

I mentioned in my previous post that I was working on some First Holy Communion favors. After a little creative sidestepping to make a couple of Easter cards, I got back to work and finished them off.

And here they are. 🙂 I made miniature candy bar wrappers, Hershey Kiss labels and cupcake toppers for the special boy.

First up the candy bars:

The wrappers are personalized with his name, the date and a thank you message to the attendees of the special event.

The Hershey Kiss labels feature 4 different images to coordinate with the candy bars:

Once again, all personalized to add that special touch. I also added a monogram to round out the set.

A matching variety of cupcake toppers finish off the assortment:

Simple, but sophisticated in honor of the occasion.

Congratulations & God bless Jackson!

Enjoy the Party!
