Feeling Lucky {St. Patrick’s Day Banner}

12 Mar

Hi All!

Just popping in to share a quickie ‘Lucky’ banner I made to decorate my office door at my {real} job…

Lucky Banner - The Life of the Party

Lucky Banner 2 - The Life of the Party

Super fast to put together since I cut the pennants and letters out with my Cricut…

Lucky Banner 3 - The Life of the Party

Lucky Banner 4 - The Life of the Party

I whipped up the squares with the Irish cuties on them…

Here they are in case you are in the mood to use them in your St. Patrick’s Day crafts…

Party like it’s St. Patrick’s Day

12 Mar

As I mentioned in my last post

I had one more idea of something cute to add to my St. Patrick’s Day favors…

And what’s better than a festive party hat?!

I carried through with the same theme from my cupcake toppers and pots of gold

I cut the party hat shape from the sheet of striped paper offered in my free printable from that same post…

Then when about embellishing it…

Buttons and rhinestones and ribbon…oh my!

Gotta love that shiny pom pom!

And a few scrolly silver pipe cleaners for good measure!

I made a couple changes to the original cupcake topper in order to make the medallion for the hat…

Feel free to right click and save the medallion image to your computer if you’d like to use it (for personal use only)…

Which I punched out using a scalloped punch and attached it to a couple more fancy circles using foam tape to give it dimension…

I even found a willing candidate to model it for you!

Makes me want to plant a big one his cheek!

Enjoy the Party!

The Luck of the Irish

10 Mar

First things first…

My daughter’s cheer team did awesome yesterday! She cheers on two different teams and both of them placed FIRST yesterday! And one of the teams also won Grand Champs which means they had the highest score of every team across all ages in their skill level!

Super proud of her and all the hard work she puts into cheering! And everything else that she does for that matter!

And somehow in between the 2 hour drive each way, along with cheering her on, I was able to get a few pictures of my latest St. Patrick’s Day goodies…

An assortment of treats all dressed up and ready to party!

I used the same basic premise for both, but decided to take the cupcake idea one step further with some candy as well…

I added a scalloped circle base (cut using one of my Spellbinders dies) to hold everything together (I didn’t want the candy falling through the bottom of the liners!)

No, I didn’t have time to actually make the cupcakes too…Thank you Stop & Shop!

A pot of gold…

Filled with Rolos!

The same label I use for my Hershey Kiss treats, also fits on Rolos perfectly!

What I used to create them…

First I designed the striped paper…I cut the wrappers out from this paper using my Lifestyle Crafts Scalloped Cupcake Liner Die…

Then I created the chevron background and went on to design the toppers…I made them square because I wasn’t sure what size/shape I wanted to cut them out in…So now they can be used like I did or they could put cut into squares for labels or tags…

The Hershey Kiss labels were next…

Once I had the paper stuff printed and put together, it was time to fancify…

Ribbon, buttons, and rhinestones do the trick…

Would you like to use these to create your own St. Patrick’s Day treats? Either follow The Life of the Party (sign up in my sidebar) or like us on Facebook, then leave me a comment letting me know that you did…

Once I hear from you, I’ll send a pdf along to you in an email…all ready to let your creative juices flow!

I’ve got one more fun idea for St. Patrick’s Day rolling around in my head…I hope to get it done over the next few days to share with you…

Wish me luck!

Erin go Bragh!

Enjoy the Party!
